We usually go to STJ in July, sometimes in August. The closer you are to water, the worse the mosquitoes get. we stayed at Amani for a week and it is terrific, but at that time there was no A/C in the main living spaces; if you're visiting during the summer, it can get toasty! the villa changed ownership since we visited, so maybe the new owners installed A/C

we stayed at Casa Bueno for a week in July 2010; it was terrific! The location vis-a-vis the North Shore beaches was perfect and it's obviously very nearby to Coral Bay and its restaurants. The tradewinds keep the villa cool both day and night. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
