Villa help needed please....

Post by Paul »

Hi guys,

I need your help. My wife and I are planning our 5th trip to the island in June. This will be our first trip without children :D At this point, we are pretty flexible on our travel dates. Our "must haves" are privacy  , especially the pool area, A/C in the bedroom(s) and of course a great view. We have stayed in the Cruz Bay area (south shore) and Coral Bay in the past. This trip we are shooting for the Cruz Bay side so we can frequent some of the establishments we just weren't able to enjoy with kids. Our budget is $2500 or less including tax for the villa. I have looked at so many villas my head is spinning. I need some recommendations please.

villa help...

Post by aangione »

we have stayed at Sago Palms four times, it is that good.

you can see some pix and rates at www.privatehomesvi.com and while there, look over some of their other properties, may be more affordable

Also, I know you do not prefer Coral Bay, but a villa named Anchorage Aweigh is perfectly gorgeous and at $1650 TAX INCLUDED, a great bargain. You can visit that villa at jamesmillerpropertymanagement.com, but all his properties are at Coral Bay.

Good luck!!! :

paul, if you are willing to make the drive to skytop over fish bay, take a look at sol inclination at http://www.vrbo.com/289115. though a vrbo, she's handled by marc miller (james miller properties), who's a pleasure to deal with. he handles several very nice villa including casa bueno, tiffany, and waterlemon on east side of mt bordeaux. marc's a pleasure to deal with. only openings in june are to 10th.

bride and i have always enjoyed cloud 9 on gifft hill that also has fantastic views and mabe a little closer to cruz bay. didn't look at availability. also we're always considered island time on devers bay handle by carvillas. just never available for our last minute trips. didn't look at june avail either.

happy hunting

papabou

good luck

We have stayed at Coconuts on Gifft Hill several times and love it. Beautiful deck with comfy furniture and dining set under a gazebo with great views out to sea and STT. Pool area is very private. Bedrooms are small but A/C. Nice landscaping and big back yard with a huge iguana and lots of birds. Living room is comfy (no A/C) although we don't spend much time there. Its not fancy, but nice. We like the Gifft Hill location - quick to get into town for restaurants or grocery store. A similar villa several doors down (so its further away from the road) is Cloud Nine.

Check out Cliffside Terrace too. That's our usual place when its just the two of us traveling. It's on the water on Chocolate Hole.
