My wife and I are planning our 3rd trip to St. John - looking for villa recommendations. Have stayed previously at Splendore Villa (Maria Bluff) and Mystic Ridge (Bordeaux Mtn). Prefer being in a less crowded area on the Cruz Bay side of the island, nice pool with privacy is a must. Have read many of the previous posts, woud appreciate any other recommendations. Budget is up to $2,500. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Casa Bueno is located nearer Coral Bay. We stayed there last July during the torrential rains, but it was beautiful anyway. Very modern, and the living and sleeping spaces are AC'ed, but we never used it because you are so high up on the hillside, the breezes are constant all day.

Both management companies are a pleasure to work with, and we highly recommend either property. Plese note Casa Bueno's quoted rates INCLUDE all taxes; no add ons!

A third property slightly outside your budget, but worth looking at, is Villa Amani on Maria Bluff. Totally worth the extra cost!

I just helped a honeymoon couple find a place - check out Arc du Soleil. Not sure when you're planning to go but it fits your budget during the off season.
