I want to add that if you don't already know this, the CA ferry dock is only about 10 minutes from the airport so you an always go there and hopefully catch the last ferry to STJ. You are right LuLu, it's busy most days from what Tina the manager says. If you go down to either end of the beach you can get away from the crowds usually.
It's not the same as it used to be...

Thanks for all the info. I have been a regular to the BVI's for the past 4 years, so it's been about 5 years since I was on STJ. Sounds like a few things have changed, but not much. I'm sure we will have luck finding one for a day when we get on island.

Jost is getting busier and busier because of the cruise ships in Tortola now. The sheeple somehow make their way over there. I'm sure there are other reasons as well..
Any day is a good day on Jost. But I think that generally the middle of the week is less busy.

I know it's hard to reserve a rental for one day. Is it do able and anyone have recomendations? Seems everyone is wanting a 3 day minimum.
We are only going to be on St. John for 3 days and really only want one for 1 day to drive around the island.
