We stayed at Villa Bijou in June 2012. We had a delayed arrival time and Lisa the manager had tracked the flight and had a driver waiting for us. We caught the 8 pm ferry and Lisa greeted us with a smile. She had arranged for our pick up of safari truck since they were closed . We just had to go back in morning to do paper work. We were off to villa in no time. The doors were open and the gentle breezes were waiting for us. We had missed our dinner reservation at Rhumb lines and decided just to snack on what Lisa had left us. Wine, beer, pop, cheese, crackers tray of fruit, cookies and candy bars!
There were 6 adults. We found the 3 bedrooms to be equal and loved the large showers. with area to sit down to shave legs. We turned the air on in bedrooms each day when we returned from beaches. It cooled the rooms great. There was a tv in each bedroom hooked to cable but I must admit we only turned it on once.There was a safe in bedrooms we used for cameras and lap top. We did not lock villa at all.
Kitchen living room area had 6 fans and 3 large open areas you could close if you wanted to turn the air on. We chose to leave open and never used the air in there. It did get warm in the late afternoon but the fans were enough for us. The kitchen was well stocked and had UV water treated that you could use for beaches. Loved the ice maker! We cooked most breakfast in and every other supper and had everything we needed. Nice glass, tevia, wine glasses,selection to use. large free standing prep area in kitchen that we enjoyed standing around eating appetizers and having cocktails.There were some spices and condiments in refrigerator. Laundry was off the living area with a bathroom that was convenient.

Steps going down to pool, gazebo and lower bedroom were well lit. The pool was wonderful and we liked the ledge to sit and talk and have cocktail.It got full sun so was quite hot in afternoons. I used the gazebo every morning for coffee and to watch the island come awake.There are 6 lounge chairs and a bar and refrigerator down there. Also a table we never used by bar.
Location 5 min from Cruz bay. Driveway paved but it was easier to pass and turnaround on road right next to enter due to angle when turning in. We got used to and this was not a problem.
Very clean and everything in working order.No bugs!!!! Had a cupboard with bug sprays and suntan lotions that we contributed to when we left.
If I had a neg if would be to include another smaller cooler only had large wheeled older cooler. Hardly worth complaining about. Had 6 beach chairs in good condition.
We loved the villa and would come back. I like to try new places though. We spent more time at villa than we usually do just enjoying the pool and decided to cook in an extra night just to enjoy it more! Great sunset view of bay and St Thomas.
