We recently stayed at Sundance, one of Cloud Nine Villas' homes, and totally enjoyed our experience at the house and on St. John. The house is very spacious, with two large master bedrooms and a third bedroom right by the pool. However we only used the master bedroom and we could lie in bed and look at the view through the arches on the deck. The decks are very large and we loved the feeling of complete privacy. We really liked being able to hear the sound of the surf of Hart Bay. We walked down the path to Hart Bay one morning (wear good shoes) and had the beach completely to ourselves!
We usually enjoyed relaxing around the pool in the morning and then went out to a North Shore beach after lunch. Hawksnest is our favorite as there is some shade in the afternoon. Then we'd go back to Sundance just in time for sunset and drinks on the gazebo deck. We loved watching the sunset over St. Thomas and seeing the lights of St. Thomas twinkle on as the sunset colors faded and the sky turned an amazing deep dark blue. After dinner, or sometimes at happy hour, we lounged in the hot tub, marveling at the many stars above us.
This house was a perfect retreat for us. It was nice to be only a mile or two from Cruz Bay, and even closer to shopping, though frankly we enjoyed being at Sundance as much as out on the town for meals. We found it had everything we needed and we plan to return again. We were able to get a very good price (see Cloud Nine Villas discounts page) and feel that we got an excellent value. Next time we'd like to bring our family too as there is plenty of privacy and room for 6 people. Cloud Nine Villas has several others houses too and Marcy was great, responding to any question we had. If only we had more vacation days available we'd go back this year!
