If you're looking for a resort or all-inclusive experience, keep searching. But, when you've done your homework, and you know what St. John is all about, THIS is the place to stay. Star Villa was everything and more my sister and I needed to celebrate my 'milestone' birthday. The villa has 2 airconditioned bedrooms, 2 full baths, a full kitchen, and more dining and lounging areas than we were able to use in a week! It is conveniently located within walking distance of Cruz Bay, yet on the quiet side of the hill up from Frank Bay. Marlene and Bob are very attentive owners and it is easy to tell they love and respect St. John. They are available for as much or as little as you need them, and we'd always come back from a day at the beach to find a freshly cleaned pool. On the day that Villa-Gravity sets in, you can follow the sun (or shade!) around the pool and expansive deck that wraps around the villa as there are lounge chairs and table areas throughout. We will definitely be back!
