My husband and I arrived to Satinwood with the anticipation of a wonderful relaxing vacation to STJ. We have visited the island many times since 1985. Upon review the property description on Tripadvisor we booked Satinwood. We arrived the evening of 2/29/16 and we're horrified. The place was not as described by Jim Damon, the property owner. It was dirty, old, had an odor and a total mess. I cried !!!! We did not expect compost toilets, old dirty furniture, dirty soiled towels, the pool water level was below the skimmer level an could not filter, the grill was broke, the washer and dryer did not work, the safe did not work, the breakfast bar stools are dangerous, the house is old with a lot of dangers. Many mosquitos !!! I could go on and on !!! DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE !!!
