We stayed here in May 2013.
Through our research, we had read that there were some folks that stayed here and had issues with a neighbor (noise made by the renters caused the neighbor to complain and call police). This obviously caused us some concern. I ultimately reached out to the neighbor and tried to get a sense of the issues. I concluded that the neighbor seemed reasonable and that I did not expect us to have issues (please do not misconstrue this to mean that the renter in question was not reasonable, I have no knowledge of the prior events and am not taking sides). We were vacationing with another 40-something year old couple. We are all very laid back...early to bed, early to rise people and not prone to making a lot of noise. So...we booked. And to loop back, we never had any issues with the neighbors (if we were bothering them, it was never brought to our attention anyway).
So...the villa is 0.6 miles up the hill from the Smoothie Stand. So for obvious reasons (!) a great location. We love staying in this part of the island. It's a close drive (5-10 minutes) to some of the North Shore beaches and perhaps 10 minute to Coral Bay. Cruz Bay is a bit farther (20 minutes perhaps).
The villa has two equally sized, en suite bathrooms. Lower bedroom has a king and the upper bedroom has a queen. The upstairs room is up a spiral staircase - this could be a hindrance to some, but it worked for us (though a bit difficult to get luggage upstairs). Upstairs room had some water leaking in (we had lots of rain), but really didn't cause any problems (we put beach towels down to soak things up).
The main room is nice-sized - living room, dining room, kitchen combination. The room isn't huge, but I would not say small either. The kitchen had everything we needed...nice selection of plates, utensils and cookware. Seating in the living room (by tv) seats four comfortably.
This main room opens up to a nice deck with a beautiful view of Coral Bay. To the side (and walking past the lower bedroom....need to put the shades down!) is the pool. Decent -sized for cooling off...probably not great for laps. Several chairs, tables and lounge chairs available. Also on the deck is a grill (we never used). We enjoyed many cocktails on the deck!
We had a couple small issues that the management company resolved quickly (we had no running water when we got there and they sent someone out within an hour or two). So, all-in-all a good experience. We would stay here again in heartbeat.
