Wea are staying at Gull Cottage in Great Cruz Bay. I am a little nervous about the bug situation, the place is right on the water. Our previous villa was on the water in Chocolate Hole, Beach Walk. It was a nice enough place but we got hammered outside at night by the bugs.

I definately recommend buying the mask in person. It's kind of like shoes, you want the fit to be comfortable. I bought all of our gear at Hurricane Hole at Mongoose. Once back on mainland I discovered the prices were right in line. I was expecting to pay way more, but didn't.

Why don't they utilize Crown Bay Marina? An even shorter taxi ride and longer ferry, two thumbs up.

Our vote is Candi's all the way. We did Joe's for 6 straight trips. Sometimes it was awesome, sometimes it was way over cooked and mostly just OK.

We like Candi's because of Candi (she's fantastic), the drinks while you wait, the excellent side dishes, the parking and the ambiance.

One of my favorites is the tiny beach on the tip of Waterlemon Cay. There is nothing quite like it. Laying on the beach looking back at the unspoiled valley is magic.

Great news about the 8 year rum. Curious about the cost. Most of my Estate Diamond 5 year was less than $12.
