Maho Internet

Great map.

It looks like the one I got last December.

They do not have WiFi, but they have "high speed" internet in the computer room now (DSL I think) but it is still Sloooow.

Anybody else have experience doing this?

Thanks.

I had to do that also, but only so I could get a good view over the dash board. I am 5'6". The 2Dr Vitara was much better for a short person, IMO.

Vitara getting long in the tooth

I actually prefer the little 2 door Vitara. The only problem is, Suzuki doesnt make them anymore, so, for the Rental companies that still have them, they are getting OLD. At least the one I rented last December was (I didn't rent it from courtesy).

Cool Breeze rents the newer Suzuki SX4.

My December Experience

We stayed at Maho camps the 2nd week of December last year. It rained the entire week. Every morning we would get in the jeep and drive over to the west end or coral bay, and without fail, the sun would be out over there.

Carry on Only

My wife and I both manage with Carry-on only. Could never do any other way. 3oz per person of most products is plenty for a week. We both take 2 containers of sunscreen each and never use it all.

I'm in good shape and it was pretty tough
You're right. The hike back up is harder than the hike down. Not easy, but doable.

If I remember right, east coast fares broke in early April last year....that is when we bought. We flew out of ATL for a little over $300, via CLT.

June or September?

I am new to this Forum. I stayed at Maho Harmony Studios this past December and would not have had such a wonderful vacation had it not been the things I learned on this site. so, thanks Everyone. Now I am dreaming of my return (ever since I checked out, of course). Which do you like better, June or...

I 2nd RickG's suggestion of Cuzzins. It's back off the water a couple blocks. We loved it. The Veggie plate was delicious.

The National Park hike takes so long cause they stop and smell the roses. If you are in good shape, you can easily hike down and back on your own.

Chilly

I was there the 2nd week of December 2007 and thought the water was cold. For snorkeling, I wore a 2.5mm neoprene vest and DW wore a 3mm shorty. We are glad we brought them - it really made a difference. I highly recommend you buy a shorty or zip vest. They are less than $50.
