Linz - I think I posted one for you on a different forum - St. John Livin' in Coral Bay, brand new at Book-it VI. I think someone who posts on this forum may have stayed there already - might want to do a search. PA Girl - Splendore has always been on my shortlist - I hear there is a killer view out...

That techni stuff is pretty versatile. It's lighter than blue ice, less bulky and great for layering. Once it's activated and has been frozen once you can thaw it and then heat it in the microwave and use it as a hot pack as well. Sometimes we cook up some chicken or a pork tenderloin in a Reynolds ...

Always bring a cooler(s) but have never brought hard sided. We usually take two oversize foldable soft-sided (one of frozen, one of refrigerated stuff), pack them about 2 AM and everything is fine when we get to the villa around 5-6. Used to use blue ice but now love that techni ice. Then we have th...

Sometimes owners will lock off bedrooms or, in the case of a pod arrangement, only provide keys to the main house or whatever has been booked. I've also seen listings where upon arrival you are to walk through with your villa greeter and decide on your accommodations, then the remaining unchosen bed...

We were at Villa Madeleine in April. This was our first trip to STX. We stayed in Unit #1 which is on the very top of the enclave and has the Buck Island view out over the Reef golf course. Some of the units have southern views out over the Divi Carina Resort and Cotton Valley Shores. I have a map o...

Hi - Yes, I have used Online Vacations many times. Denise Wright is my contact. They are not a villa management company - I think they are what is called a villa rental agent (like a broker?) Denise is great. She has acted as an agent for us when booking off-island villas, too. As long as the price ...

Just used The Grocery Goddesses for a villa on STT and they mentioned that they are beginning to provision folks heading to STJ. They will deliver everything to the airport or Red Hook and hand off or load the rental - refrigerated items in coolers. This appeals to me, especially when taking the car...

You can get that look with the Tan Towels - it usually takes about 3 applications to get a good look. Apply, then again about 3 hours later, then once more. Also - the top to bottom, bottom to top method - it you start on your legs first application, start on your arms second application - - reason ...

I hate being locked out and unable to choose. When it's just DH and me we use one bedroom but most likely will use 2 baths. I always try to compensate for that in the housekerper's tip as there will be more towels to launder and another bathroom to clean.

Flip Flop - In May we have five "Divas" going to STT for a week at Diva Villa out on Peterborg - we are in our late 40's to mid-50's and one Diva is in her early 60's. We're not ready to get out the canes yet, tho. All are VI newbies except for me. The other Divas are talking about sea tre...

There is a Pueblo in Sub-base which I guess would technically be closest to the airport. It's not the best food shop on the island but would be fine for a quick stop for soda, water, beer, etc. If you are headed up the Crown Bay Road to the northside coming from the airport this would probably be th...

The "I" and "me" thing has me perplexed. I often here something like: Suzy came over and sat with Paul and I at the Beach Bar(rather than "by Paul and ME"). The nuns taught us to eliminate the other person to figure out the proper pronoun but now I hear this "I&quo...
