Re: Taxi Rates, Airport to Redhook

Pia, are you traveling alone? If so, the posted rate is $15. For 2+, the posted rate is $11 p/p. Aren't the rates fixed? I didn't think the drivers could charge whatever they want.

Taxi Rates, Airport to Redhook

Can someone tell me what the current taxi rate is for 2 people from the airport to the Redhook ferry terminal? The info on this site shows $9 p/p and the VINOW site shows $11 p/p. Are either of these correct? Thanks.

Re: New to St. John, a few questions.

You can fish in Devers Bay. What villa are you in? I'll be staying at Island Time soon.

I used ParkRideFlyUSA.com last time & it worked very well. Rates were pretty good & they provide quick shuttle service. It's a private, fenced lot so I don't have any security concerns. There are other companies that offer the same type of service. I would definately use them again.

While I was on STJ in May, I inquired about the status of Dream Catcher at the Caribbean Villa office, since we also had stayed there in the past. Was told that it was sold & is no longer on the rental market.

Jim, check out www.yelp.com. Lots of reviews on bars/restaurants. If you've never been to a Rangers game at MSG before, you're in for a treat. Great venue & fans. Have a great time!
Especially after last nights game, this should be one hell of a re-match!

Stayed at Dream Catcher in Oct.'06. It wasn't in the best of shape, but for the price then, we thought it was a great deal. Since then, the price has increased substantially. To answer your question, yes, all 3 bedrooms have inside access.

Stayed there about 4-5 years ago. Nice place. The thing I didn't like about it is that there is an apartment on the lower level, which can be rented seperately. When it is, the occupants have access to the pool & deck until 6:00 p.m. That's the only reason I wouldn't return. We like a private po...

Cinnamon has a restaurant & also rents water toys (kayaks, boogie boards, etc.) Good chance you'll see some donkeys around the campground. As has been said, will have more people & kids around. IMO, I think the kids would enjoy Cinnamon more.
