Re: Here and in Heaven- kudos to Rachel!

I have to echo pipergal's comments about how great Rachel is. We arrived almost five hours late on Christmas Eve. Our flight had turned around and returned to Atlanta after over an hour in the air. We arrived a little after 7, had our bags in 15 minutes or so and then hopped into Rachel's beautiful ...

Re: Most Overrated / Most Underrated

OK 54b, I'll take the bait. The entire American gastro-economic situation is overrated! There I said it. Americans have the highest rates of obesity, diabetes and heart disease IN THE WORLD!!! Not coincidentally, it's all that fried-goodness you're referring to that is the culprit. In my experiences...

Re: Donkey Diner for sale , $50k?

ihearts,
Glad to hear that the school is not closed, I stand corrected. When we were there last spring, it was quiet the whole time and I had heard that it was closed.

Shooting chickens in the yard? No wonder they didn't make it.

Re: Donkey Diner for sale , $50k?

Personally, I never liked the Donkey Diner. The concept was appealing, but the food was always mediocre at best and the building is kind of a dump. Not sure why it was so popular? Why doesn't anything ever last for long in that vicinity? Sputnik and the last restaurant located there never made it. I...

Re: Who experienced STJ in the earlier times(80s and eariler

@Exit Zero- I remember that place. I think it was called the "End of the World Bar" or the "Bar at the End of the World" or something like that. I also remember the fish fry and I posted on the other forum a while back about that. I was trying to figure out where it was, because ...

Re: Want to share a charter to snorkel the Indians?

I tried to PM you but it wouldn't work for some reason. Are you going for a whole day or half day trip? What would the cost be for two of us?

Re: Shorty wet suit?

I definitely use my shorty. It's only 3.2 mm thick and it's perfect for a long snorkel of more than a half hour or so.

We love Sogo's. Yes, they are very friendly and they have parking. I'm vegetarian and they always do a nice plate for me. My wife loves the jerk chicken.

We leave one month from today!!!!
