There was another drowning on March 9th.(this year) He was a young man from Texas living on St Thomas. He jumped in trying to save his friend that was knocked off the rock by a wave. It is in the BVI's news. Very sad story.

Now this is a St. John adventure!! I will be down the same week and staying directly on the beach. Maybe you could paddle in and have a cold one with us. I will PM you.

I was there in the afternoon. Very calm atmosphere. Good group of people. Great conversation. Nothing offensive (language, rowdy, etc.). Delish BBQ sandwich.

I posted this once before. I saw it at Cinnamon also, last Feb. The waves were high and the "light" lingered in the sand for awhile after the wave rolled out. But, it is no way near a bioluminescence bay experience. Still, it was fun and drew a crowd to see it.

Well your trip report did it for me!! I booked a flight after reading it. Here I come again St. John. I am soooo looking forward to the sushi. Thanks for the pics. I have seen an eagle ray several times at Caneel. They seem to like the area around the dock.
