Not too long at all, the longer the better IMHO. I love all the details and I will try to repay this forum with an equally detailed trip report from my trip in April(9 days to go!)

I have never worn one of the vests while snorkeling because I have always been a good swimmer. But after reading these stories I think I might. I don't snorkel alone but what if I did get a cramp or swallow too much water. I put one on my kids when they were younger but even they have stopped using ...

I loved your trip report. I now feel I just have to try staying in Tortola some day. I just don't think I have seen enough of St John yet to go anywhere else!! I also loved your Hampton Beach comment. I grew up going there every summer for a couple of weeks with my family. When people talk about the...

I love all these stories, I am afriad mine is rather boring. I was one of those hordes that descend on Trunk Bay from a cruise ship 18 yrs ago. First time I ever snorkeled. I fell in love with St. John then and now can't stop myself from coming back. Though I do say we have to try some of those othe...

We did the hike 2 years ago with a 15 yr old, 13 yr old, 2 9yr olds and a 7 yr old. I can assure you the 7 and 9 yr old kids loved it and had no trouble at all. They loved the bats and the petroglyphs and the ranger's stories and the mills and ruins and the boat ride back. The teenagers on the other...

I will do my best to answer your questions. I didn't stay there so I don't know how deep the pool was but I did know it would be an awesome place to look out at St. Thomas and the sunset. The pool was right up against the edge of the deck as I recall, not a true disappearing edge but very similiar. ...

What a great idea for our trip. I usually do tshirts for everyone but these will be much easier to transport and a great memory of St. John too.

Thank you for the wonderful trip report. I feel like I am there looking at the beautiful blue water and feeling the warm sun.(Winter is too long in New England) We also always go with a large group though we don't try to do everything together. We have 11 going this year in April but some leave earl...

I have been away in Las Vegas for the last week so I didn't see your question. It sounds glamorous but I was visiting my sister with my 11 yr old son so I didn't even wager a quarter. We did get to see Love at the Mirage though and it was awesome. But I am off topic aren't I? I did not stay at Calic...

The views form Calicaribe are awesome. There is a great view of the villa when you come into Cruz Bay on the ferry as it sits right on the hill facing St. thomas.

After spending an hour scraping ice off my teenage son's car this morning becuase he "forgot" to clean it off last night if you just scratch the temperature I will cry. I just keep saying 2 more months like a mantra.

My favorite is rhumblines(very spicy for me but I love it) and Stone Terrace(always romantic) though I have had very few bad meals in St. John. Guess I am always lucky. Or perhaps it's because we eat in most nights and after doing the cooking and cleanup anything I am not responsible for tastes good!!
