Highly recommend Pawleys Island, SC! It is about a 45 minute drive south of Myrtle Beach, and have gotten decent airfare into Myrtle Beach airport. Great restaurants, laid back beach community, fabulous rental houses! Don't miss Pawleys Island Tavern! The big rental Company is Pawleys Island Realty,...

$20 at Salt Pond

Hi! We are just back from our first trip and loved STJ!! Except for the lost luggage for three days courtesy of AA. We were at Salt Pond on Tuesday and found $20!! It appeared to have been deliberately left, anyone here want to take credit for it? We are of the "pay it forward" mindset and...

If you are not carrying on everything, carry on what you need (swimsuit, snorkel, mask, toothbrush). Just got back and didn't have luggage the first three days (thanks to AA)!!!! A bit of a pain in the a$$, but learned the hard way, you don't need much...........

Well, we love Pawleys Island, and have been lucky enough to visit there for the past several years. It's not really a day trip though, it's a good hour north of Charleston, but a great place to consider for your next vacation!

The website is sure informative and price looks reasonable. Anyone ever had experience with a claim, whether trip cancelled or rental car accident or medical evac?

It appears to be back on. Listed through stjohnhouserentals. Is the pool adequate for two kids? Looks a little small, but thought it might do. Was looking forward to the view, sad to hear about the powerlines. Thanks for the info!!!!

late arrival

Hi! If arriving in STT st 7:30pm in July, is it feasible to go to STJ that night, get a rental car, and find your villa? Would you recommend staying in STT and heading over in the morning? Oh, first time visitors as well...........Thanks!

first trip questions

Hi All! Looks like a cool forum with a lot of knowledgable people. My family: husband and 16yo and 9yo daughters are making our first trip in July. Husband really wants to camp at Maho for part of the time, rent a villa for the other part of the trip. Is it too hot and humid to camp? Will my teenage...
