Thinking about a family foto on the beach when when we visit in a couple of weeks. Anyone ever use one of the professional photographers on STJ for that? All the info I can find is for weddings.....Thanks!

we were married in STJ 3 years ago and used blue glass photography. personally, we weren't thrilled with our pics but i've seen others they've taken and they do a good job. i'm not certain that they do family pics.
while on STJ last week i met Sage from Crown Images. she was taking pics of a couple that just married, and i'm pretty impressed with her work (and equipment - i'm a PT photographer too!). her website is http://web.mac.com/sagecrownparker/iWeb ... /Sage.html.
her website has wedding info, but i wouldn't be surprised that she would do family pics.
have fun!

Hi - Taking family vacation portraits is popular and a core part of my own business. I've taken them at the beach, ruins, resort, villa, overlook, on boats, etc. You can check out my website at www.tropicalfocus.com for samples. Most StJ photographers do this type of work and do it well. You can't go wrong with getting family vacation portraits done on StJ.
Yes a lot of on-island wedding photographers can do family portraits, anniversaries, daysails, etc. I personally find Ashley really good. She has a great eye for taking portraits and landscapes. You can check out her portfolio, etc. on her website. www.AshleyPhotoVI.com
