Admittedly...the quality of the video is not so great...but here is a look at the North Swell we captured from the Trunk Bay overlook this past March. The video is short...some 27 sec......but you'll get the drift. It really was something. The experts...whomever they are...said it was the worst since 1991.
Wow! Those are definitely stronger than the ones we saw there the day before. Funny enough, the ferry to STT that day (probably right when you were shooting) wasn't nearly as rough as I thought it would be. Thanks for the footage
JC, thank you for posting this. It brings back memories for me - I was on Trunk about 3 years ago in Jan/February and the swells appeared that big then. I remember that there was no beach at all and some people were brave enough to go in. It made me nervous with the waves slamming into the beach. It was right after the major Tsunami in the south pacific so I wasn't risking it at all.
Thanks for that video, I only wish I had been on the island during that time for some great photographs...if you have any stills, please send them to me @Aol.
Thanks for the video. We were on STJ the last week of March and the waves at Cinnamon were very good size as well. I'm still wearing splints on two fingers of my left hand to prove it.
