Last week in Feb or last week in March...?? hmmm
I assume the weather is pretty much the same for the end of February or March? I might worry about the start of rain season at the end of March? Anyone who had more experience on the island care to share their thoughts?
stjchica---Here are some weather charts for VI with some averages.

February and March are the driest months.September-November tend to be rainier. Of course, those are just averages and you can have lots of sunshine, or rain, any time.
Pam---I am visiting STJ in late February this year because I like the weather in STJ that time of year, and its still winter in the midwest.Great time to visit, I think, though late March would be nice too.

Yes, you can get north swells in February/March. That is an advavantage of May/June. On the other hand, I felt there were more bugs and more humidity in May/June. Some prefer the warmer water of summer, though. Lots of factors to consider, and lots of different opinions on what is a nice time to visit.

Thank you .. I will not book again in May LOL We had a good time but it would have been nice to have a few more sunny days. Will be booking the Feb vacation, the airfair is cheaper!Exit Zero wrote:The 2 rainiest months historically are the shoulder season weather patterns that occur in May and November - the winter is usually very dry - Feb///March is winter here - the North swell is more of a winter phenomena but unpredictable overall and well, if the N is up the S is flat.
