This will be our 5th trip in 5 years, and this time, I handled it differently. I totally ignored it.
"St John??? Where is that??? huh?? Travel Fourm?? wha???" I even stooped to calling it "St. John's!!!
This might not be the best approach for some, but I gotta be honest....the time FLEW this year. It really helped me!!
Now what do I do?
I think FlaGeorge and Waterguy have it right...
You two are as hysterical as you are accurate!-
Nice answer as well, Toes in The Sand!
We leave in 43 days, and I'm so excited to once again become catatonic on that beautiful island!
I'm usually pretty much trying to remember "Island Time", between trips. Being in Jersey can make that tough.-people can be a bit impatient around here.
I'm a bartender, and love a dark & coke on STJ as much as(if not more than) the next island lover.
Granted, I usually order 2 at a time when on vaca, but there's nothing more relaxing to me than to sit on the other side of whichever bar we find ourselves fall into, and wait for a drink while enjoying the sights, scents, scenarios, and stories of the day.
It's heaven!
It's also kind of funny, because my 2nd drink usually ends up watered down as I stay in that relaxed state. It's all good, my 3rd tastes even better!
Anyway, I guess that's what I do between trips; try to remember to relax,be patient, courteous, and dream of St.John. Good things soon come!

My cousin and sister just made their reservations for our May "family Road trip". This May was their first time on the island and the loved it.
One is coming from Ft Lauderdale, grabbed a Spirt Air flight yesterday for $314.00. The fact that it was showing $505.00 yesterday am obviously means nothing.
My cousin just booked Delta from Charlotte thru Atlanta for $425.
Now we can all relax for a while, but I am really concerned about their flights being cancelled so I will spend the 7 3/4 months agonizing over that.
I guess I won't really relax until we are on island May 2009.
