Thanks to you too, Tasha. When I looked at your pictures, I managed to recognise the Puddingwife, as one of my own photos of fish without identification.

The "spanish grunt" I bevlieve is some kind of Parrotfish or Wrasse. They seem to have so many different looks, whether they are juvenile, intermediate or adult.

Tasha your photos are amazing. Thanks for making my Sunday morning so perfect. You and Mike could run a snorkeling tour by the looks of your pictures you guys know all the hot spots. Thanks again. Maybe we will get to see you in May.

Maggy, yep you're right - i just checked with my reference guide and it looks like the "spanish grunt" is actually a juvenile Princess Parrotfish :) Good to know. Btw, i looked at you diving pics - they look awesome, especially the thailand ones!

Wanda, thanks :) We used Canon Powershot 300 with canon underwater housing for all underwarer shots.

Tasha, glad you liked them. It was so hard to identify the fishes in the Pacific, as I am much more used to Caribbean fish species. I had to take help from the people at Scubaboard.

Anyway - I am now equipped with a brand new Canon Powershot A 720IS with underwater housing, and am about to learn how to take photos underwater, in a course with Dive BVI (Virgin Gorda) in about 10 days. Can't wait. I might show some of them in the Off Topic forum when I come home, if they are not too bad

Wow, your photos are amazing! Thanks so much for sharing them. You got some great shots of the porcupinefish...I have trouble getting that one, they always hide on me.
