Underwater pics from last trip

Post by tasha »

I've been a lurker for over 2 years now and after the post about "how many people read but never post" I decided time has come for me to join the active crowd :)
Also, it seems to be a good timing since I have only a month to go till my next annual visit to St John! Here are some pics from my trip last year:

Welcome, Tasha! I agree on the organization thing, I'm very impressed.
What is the name of the house you stayed in?

Ditto Dark and Ruth! Cute couple, too! Love those underwater shots and looking forward to more. What software do you use? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!!! StJohnRuth, we stayed in "It's about time" on Ajax Peak. We're staying there again this May.

We waited till the last minute to plan our trip this year (so much for my organization thing  ), so the other villas i was interested in (Blue Palm and Reef Madness) were all booked up.

Great pics Tasha! I love all the turtle pics. What beach are they from?
I am on a mission this June to see some turtles snorkeling!

Welcome to the boards. :D

larlardb8, i bet you'll see turtles in June! We always go at the end of May and observe plenty of them :) The turtle pics are all from different beaches - i don't quite remember, but i think francis, solomon, waterlemon are some of them.

pjayer - I'm so glad you liked the pics :) Michael (my boyfriend) set up the site for me to upload all the photos - he's a software developer, so he wrote all the code for the website himself.

Thanks for sharing your photos. They are wonderful! I like the underwater pictures end expecially the shot of the Permit and the Pelican legs (how cute).

Impressed by all the names on the fishes. What about the Spanish Grunt? Is it really that fish? I'm not an expert, but I love fish identification.

Maggy, thanks! That Permit was really awesome - just huge! I took another picture when it got closer to me and it couldn't even fit the screen  That spanish grunt was the only fish i wasn't sure about - the picture is somewhat blurry and the fish is in motion, so you can't really tell the shape very well. The only thing that's clear is it's stripes and the color. Hmm I just looked at my fish ID reference guide and it doesn't really look like a spanish grunt to me. Oh well
