Anyone ever have this happen in a digital photo?

Post by Teddy Salad »

OK, all you digital photo mavens, can anyone tell me what caused the black hole near the center of this photo? Something on the lens maybe? I know it's not a shadow. This is the only time I've had this happen and was wondering what it was.

Could it be a bird or a thrown cat?

If there is nothing on the lens now I would suspect a bug on the lens at the time of the shot.

I'm guessing Lady Bug. It's easily fixed with Photoshop :D

I thought maybe a flying puffer fish, but they're almost totally unknown in that part of the world.

I've never used Photoshop. What little I've seen of it looked anything but easy. :)

Hope you don't mind, I took the liberty...

After a quick job in Photoshop: (it could use a lot more work, this is just a quick example)

I think that either it's a hummingbird OR a ghost/spirit.

Looks like lens dirt. Was it on more than one image?

Nice job on the fix CG. Thats pretty cool that photoshop can do stuff like that.

Could it be a momentary tear in the space-time continuum?
