My Significant other definetly "gets it " in fact he lurks on the forum and often reads the posts before I do..
He is just as anxious as me to read the reports and was always reading the do's and dont's and where to eat kinda things before our trip. He has been a sweetie and helped me organize our pics everyday since we've been back. :D

My sweet Christine reads the forum after work each day and makes comments like "You sure had time on your hands today." But, most of the time, I'm working intensely and she reads me funny forum posts as I pass out at the end of the day.

My daughters, 10 and 15, know who the forumites are by screen name and love to hear stories about what people are up to.

Cheers, RickG

Hubby thinks I am nuts - and maybe I am, but this forum keeps me going between trips. I'm not sure whether he'll ever admit it , but I know he has enjoyed the trip reports I've read to him and appreciates the tidbits I pick up here.

It's a rough job, but someone has to do it

My husband thinks that I'm a total weirdo for posting on the forum. He gets STJ, but he does NOT get the forum. He laughed at me when I told him that I wrote a trip report this year (and no, he hasn't read it, nor would he even know where to find it online).

He does, however, appreciate that I am informed on certain topics, like hikes or snorkels that we've never done before.

As long as we keep going to St. John every year, I'll put up with the ridicule
