Cimmaron manages the villa we rented in 2009 (Creolla) and we liked them a lot. Very casual and laid back, but they get the job done. We were unhappy with our blender (which still sort of worked but wouldn't crush ice), called after office hours and left a message. The next day a new blender appeared on our doorstep.

But best of all was the party they threw for Carnival in the Lumberyard parking lot for employees and all Cimmaron guests who happened to be on island at the time. They provided a huge BBQ with an endless "mix your own" rum punch table, and folding chairs under canopies for watching the parade down below. I was astonished by the quantity of free food and drink. And it went on all day and into the night! Quite a nice unexpected perk for villa guests, and a nice thing to do for the employees (who seemed to be enjoying themselves thoroughly).

Cimmaron has been a joy so far. WAY more friendly, helpful and fast than Caribbean Villas. Nice people!
Barb - we'll watch for your group. Sounds like a fun group!!!

Hi Minde,
Just caught up and saw that you booked Lavender Hill. I think you'll love it. We will miss you by one day- we arrive on the 12th! Just a little tip you may already know. Many accommodations reduce their rates on April 15 which is the beginning of the low season. If you have any flexibility with vacation time in the future it can make a difference and the weather is just as beautiful. April is my favorite month there

Minde, did I hear you booked Lavender Blue Seas thru Cimmaron? we just got home from a week in this great unit and I must tell you it is one of the nicest small accommodation we have ever had on St John. We have stayed at Lindholm, Gallows and Cruz Views in the past and this particular unit and the complex beats them all for price and convenience. the parking is literally at your doorstep. The view from the patio is divine. You can keep tabs on Captain John Brandi every morning as he rows out to his boat. The bedroom AC cancels out any noise from the bars and ferries and even Grand Bay next door.Their (GB)pool is within spitting distance from your balcony so it can get a little raucous in the evening if you are home. On the other hand, you can have a free concert every night from whatever group is playing at the Beach Bar or High Tide if you want to sit on the balcony and chill. They cant be heard from inside. PM me if you need any other info, or if u want I will PM you with other info. and Emily was great to work with. Wish we were back there instead if here in the snow.

That's AWESOME, Knolmom!!! Glad to hear! Was anything lacking in the kitchen? Was there a sharp chef's knife? Did there happen to be an OFF lantern (the kind you use pads and candles with) there?
I'll probably think of other questions and PM them to you! Thanks so much - you made our night!

Did not notice much about kitchen utensils. Dishes were not that upscale, but glassware was very nice, so maybe I overlooked some dishes higher up in the cupboard.First time I have seen a gas stove on island. Bring your own shampoo and lotions. Sheets and towels including beach towels very nice. Check unit before you go shopping. Lots of paper and plastic. Will think of more soon. Will be on the road to Florida for 2 days and then will write more.
