Cure for water in the ear

Post by deniseb »

For those of you that get water in your ear and can't get it out, I have a cure that always works for me. I have my husband blow smoke from his cigarette into my ear. This works every time.

Swimmer's Ear has always worked for me; I bring it any trip where swimming is involved.

This remedy was given to me by a Dr. in the STX ER many years ago - pour a little rum (Cruzan) into your ear. The water and alcohol combine, and alcohol evaporates quicker than water - after a few doses, problem solved....

Use ear plugs as prevention, I never snorkel without them...

I always just tilt my head to the side and hop on the opposite foot. Maybe you've tried that, though?! :?

That's what my wife does. She says it works, but she looks funny doing it :D

Tom... I like your solution the best... Might lead to some face slaps, however...

"Excuse me... You're hot. Can you blow in my ear? I have water in it."

Time to start working on convincing the wife that we have to go back soon!
