I'm short, too. 5'1". Don't understand "booty implants" either. I've got some healthy thighs, too! Guess no one wants thigh implants.

I strongly prefer Mrs. Sam in bikinis. She is tall, so there is often a problem with fit with the one-pieces.

I'll be bringing a one piece I got in Florida last year, a new bikini and a tankini. Got all aspects covered, I guess, but I like the bikini best of all! I'm short too, 5'2", hmmm, are all the women short on this board?

I looked at your pictures. I thought your husband looked tall! I realize I am short when I see pictures of myself next to people.

Yup - my hubby & 19 year old son are both a foot taller than I. - It is soooo weird seeing myself in photos next to them - I don't realize how tiny I am until I see the contrast in photos!
Peace,

I will do a one piece. No Bikinis anymore for me unless Surgery is involved. I am not willing to exercise enough to get the body necessary for that anymore! I am 5'4" by the way. kind of in the middle. most things are either too long or too short if i try to go petite. Very frustrating! :?

I'm short too. 5 feet 1 and 3/4", to be precise. I hate shopping for clothes, everything is too long!! Even the "short" length jeans at j crew puddle around my feet. Everything has to go to the tailor.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

Liamsaunt, I have the opposite problem...while I'm not super tall at 5'6", I am taller than average, and I have to have most of my pants lengthened. If a store even carries longs, they're usually out in my size.

Teresa - I hear 'ya. 5'7" here and all the pants I buy seem to shrink up in length. Luckily capri pants are in :) ! Short or tall, I think everyone has their issues! Jeans and swimsuit shopping are just about the worst time spent at a mall :x . No wonder we all love shoes.......

Closing in on 5' 11" here! Luckily a few stores carry long or tall sizes now -- nothing looks dumber than too-short jeans! Yep, I love capri season!

I wear bikinis and bring about six of them for a week-long trip (I have a bathing suit and cover up obsession). I've found great suits at places like Swim n' Sport (specialty store), Target, and department stores. If you want suits that are built for women rather than teenagers, Polo makes good ones, as do Jag and some of the Target brands (Isaac Mizrahi and Pro Spirit). These tend to give a bit more coverage on the behind and the tops are substantial enough to hold things in place without being matronly.

Wow Chicagoan...I bet pants shopping is really hard for you!

In case anyone was wondering, the average height for American women is 5' 3.75"...for men it's 5' 9".

Wow! Great photos! I was wondering what camera setup you used for all of those underwater pics?
