Ladies Bathingsuits

Post by LSU Beach Tiger »

Hey Ladies,

I just got my bathing suits in from Victoria's Secret today & it's finally starting to sink in that I have 18 days left 'til I'm on paradise-YAY!

Just curious, since the crazy guys always talk about weenie-bikinis (a.k.a Speedos)What do you ladies prefer for a bathingsuit?:

Bikini, One-piece, Tankini, etc....

I just bought 2 bikinis & will probably buy some more before trip.

FYI..Victoria's Secret is offering a super cute gold metallic beach bag free with any swimwear purchase.

The girls at work ask today if it made a differance if a girls bra and panties matched It was a poll question . My answer was if I get to the point of seeing them I don't care,

I like tankinis.
I wish I could wear a bikini. I just wouldn't feel comfortable and no matter how hard I try I can't get the midsection to be fit for a bikini. :(
One pieces just make it hard to go to the bathroom.

I'd pretty much rather have a root canal than go shopping for swimsuits... at least with root canal, you get drugs!

That being said, I did take a quick peek last week at Nordstrom (didn't have time to try anything on) and noticed that all the cute suits were close to $200! For about 2 square inches of cloth. So I will only buy suits that I really like.

Anyway, I like tankinis -- I like to really swim in a suit, so I like them kind of sporty. I also like something pretty, but it has to be functional enough to swim or play volleyball in. Also, I'm tall, so the tankinis give me more leeway in the length than a one piece, so I'm not battling the whole creep up thing.

If you're shopping at VS for suits -- go girl! I bet they're great.

I vote tankini. A bikini for me would be even more hysterical than the booze thread - LOL. As to the gold metallic beach bag, my (17-year old) daughter REALLY wants it. Ali~

I still wear a bikini and maybe I shouldn't but who cares. Tank-ini's make me look fat. Go figure.

Mostly, I like to just hang out at the villa and not worry about my suit.

Yup, Marcia's "villa suit" is definitely my favorite. The pool guy and gardeners seem to like it, too...but, I digress.

Hmmmmm, being a 48 year old woman, I'd have to say, TANKINI! I am at a good weight for myslef - and thinner than I'd ever been - BUT, since I'd lost my weight later in life- the skin just won't snap back anymore - so.... no bikini for me
Peace,

You go Anita! I prefer bikinis. I wait until the end of the season and then snag a bunch of them for about $10 a piece. One piece bathing suits make me look like a surfboard

My preference are bikinis. They can't be the string kind though. My favorite are from Victoria's Secret. Maybe we should get a commission for recommending them, huh?

I prefer bikinis too. I'm just about 5'3" and small framed, so a bikini is more flattering. I feel like tankinis and one pieces shorten me.

I am partial to J Crew bikinis. They just fit me best!

I've worn all three and only in the past couple years have I become comfortable with the bikini. (I was pretty modest growing up.) I like JCrew's suits, also.
