Travel insurance, Please HELP!!
Travel insurance, Please HELP!!
Hi all,
Okay, so I'm in travel insurance confusion nightmare mode. There are so many and having never booked travel insurance in my life, I'm clueless as to what is the best coverage. The villa site we are renting from (Vacation Vistas) has a link to TravelGuard, which seems to get mixed reviews and has so many plans, not sure what is needed. I've heard other members mention CSA and I think one other that I can't come up with. There are so many provisions and different policies, I'm lost. Just want to have something in case: trip gets delayed, baggage gets lost, hurricane (god forbid) hits, some family emergency takes us home early and/or prevents our trip somehow, there are airplane issues, any type of accident happens (god forbid again), and so forth. Just the basics. Also wondering does this kind of insurance only cover for expenses like villa rental, airfare, etc..or does it also cover if the trip got cancelled and we were out deposits to vendors for our wedding ceremony? Thanks in advance all for your tips. Reading these policies is like a lesson in accounting, something I was never very good at either.

http://www.insuremytrip.com is a great resource for comparing what the various travel insurance policies cover. There is a wide range of coverage available and the costs also vary quite a bit.
CSA, CSA, CSA -
We use it all the time - and we sell it, so if you buy through here it does us all good. Plus, we have a bit of a voice with the members of this forum so if something does go wrong, there may be a better chance to get help than from another company where that relationship doesn't exist.
