Wow, still seeing a TON of villa availability for Halloween week. Still hoping to make it with at least Linda & Jim with Big Red & Becky and Pat & Janet still trying to clear their calendars. I hope Sweet Christine doesn't mess up the schedule by getting a job. She could stay at home and go to work...

Cheers, RickG

I'm also looking to get there in early November. Is there any place to check for last minute villa deals or is it an informal process to talk with the owners/management companies?

We're still playing it by ear as far as where we'll stay the first two nights of our trip. If we didn't find what we think it a great deal on a villa at Fish Bay then we'd probably still be playing the waiting game looking for lodging for the whole trip.

I have a list of places that either don't have a minimum stay or have responded that they're willing to waive the minimum. Some charge a supplemental fee to do so, and some won't.

It's an interesting situation. On the one hand a lot of property managers/owners don't want to have to pay for a greeter/maid and any other associated costs for only a couple of night's rent, but at what point do they feel that a little income is better than none?

We are mulling a trip in October. No trouble finding plenty of villas to choose from. Not sure yet. Will keep you all posted if it percolates.
