We land at 10. I just spoke to the water taxi folks...my new heroes.

They set us up with Christopher's to get to Red Hook. We'll be able to get a boat to St John from there.

It's going to cost slightly more than a room at the Best Western, but where would you rather sleep tonight? A hotel near the airport or at your villa?

sailorgirl gets the gold star today. Thank you for suggesting that option. My head is less than clear right now, and you balanced me.
Yeah, so glad it worked out.. now take a deep breath, a pill... a drink and enjoy :-)

Think of it as an adventure, crossing over to STJ in the dark! Sounds like fun to me! :D

Glad you've got a plan! When USAir delays caused us to miss a flight to STT, we spend the first night of our STJ vacation in the Marriott at the Philadelphia airport.

Well, pip, I was trying to watch for you on the spice cam but realized I was an hour late. I hope you and your family made in ok and that you are in the villa eating cheese and crackers.

You are sooooo going to love the water taxi. I swear by it since we had to do it once. It's so relaxing - a great way to get on island time. Since our first time on the water taxi we never got on the ferry again.
Trip #14 comes June 11, 2015!!

What happened Pip? I have been off the grid for a few days and am just catching up.

Flight was cancelled?

thanks....JF
here is a link to Dohm's website. Christopher is a seperate company but they work together very closely so if you book the water taxi and want ground transport, Dohms will book Christopher for you.

We have used them since 2005 and last trip (winter, not the most recent) it cost us $7 pp more to use Christopher/Dohms than the public route.

PA Girl, Pip is there. He even made it to the Forum Beach party.

Are you aware of a private water taxi that will take us to Virgin Gorda? Also, does anyone know what time the flight has to arrive in STT to get to customs in Tortola before closing?

Thanks!
