Car Ferry

I see that there are 3 car ferry companies. Which one do you prefer? Do I need to make a reservation?

Just pull up in line backward if that makes sense get on the first one that comes along only pay one way so you can do the same on the other end

Currently there are only 2 running (the third has been out of operation for probably a year) but that can change by the hour

Buy a one way ticket as Waterguy said as the tickets are not transferable that way if one is not running on your return you are not out the fare

Nope, Boyson leaves on the half hour both sides and Roanoak every 2 hours on the uneven hours from STJ and even hours from STT
