Sorry you were sick. Thanks for a great 1st installment. Always enjoy your comments and photos. Those margaritas looked yummy. Love the combo of sweet pineapple and spicy chili....

Such beautiful pictures... can you also post some of the interior of La Jolla? I was curious about it when we were at Cinnamon Stones; it was completely shut up and hard to get an idea of it.

Maryanne, I actually didn't take any pictures of the inside! The house is on three levels and we only used part of the top floor. We did walk through the rest of the house. It's a very different layout. I think it would be a good house for a large family group with non-toddler age children...not so great for groups of couples because the bedrooms are not equal.

Mahojim, all that drink consists of is half a pineapple chopped up and put in the blender with ice, tequila, and the juice of two limes. The rim is chili powder, salt, and sugar.
It's like looking in your soup and finding a whole different alphabet.

I always called them blennies, but I usually could count on Maggy to correct my fish IDs, so now my money would be on sanddiver.

As usual, wonderful reporting! And as usual, I want to snorkel with you. I think you see something new (to me), something I've never even come close to seeing every time you're out there!

I am seriously thinking of offering you free lodging in exchange for you cooking for us every night.

My kids aren't that bad. Really!

Been busy the last couple of days, finally logged on tonight to find first two installments of your trip report. Did a happy dance! You know how to travel, and you always teach me things about STJ, and snorkeling, and cooking that I didn't know before. Love them!
