Might be going....
Actually, it's not that I hate to leave Coral Bay, I just don't like the high energy of Cruz Bay, and the insanity of driving and parking there. My three favorite things about Cruz Bay are Ruth, Ron, and the road out of town!StJohnRuth wrote:. I know you hate to leave Coral Bay when you are here,

First of all, I have a soft spot for curmudgeons! Betty's a lucky woman but I think you know you are a lucky man as wellJT wrote:Thanks for the nice thoughts and wishes, Terry and Coden. Gee, Flipper, you might not like me so much if you were around me much! My wife says I'm an old curmudgeon! Then again, she's put up with my grumpy ass for over 35 years now.
Concert? I don't know about a concert. Is there a concert during May that I don't know about? Oh, you mean BT? I wish I could fiqure a safe way to take a guitar down there. We'll see.
I wish we had been down there the other night for the Blues Fest. I saw that Deanna Bogart played and I have seen her many times in the DC area, everywhere from down and dirty bars to the likes of the Birchmere, Ramshead Taveren, and Blues Alley. She'a about 5 foot 1 inches of the Energizer Bunny. The first time I saw her, circa 1985, was in a bar that used to be in Bethesda, MD called Durty Nelly's. She walked up to the piano, looked out at the crowd and said, "Hi, I'm Deanna Bogart, and I was born to Boogie Woogie" and she preceded to back it up! She also plays a pretty impressive sax, which she learned from local legend Ron Holliday, and always surrounds herself with top shelf musicians.

Second, You are so dead on about Deanna. I was exhausted just watching her! She was really great. Singing, sax and keyboard. The musicians at the fest and the surrounding days around Coral and Cruz Bay were really amazing.
