You might consider starting your own blog about buying a million dollar villa on STJ after seeing it for half an hour - it would seem you already have some stories to tell and I suspect many more surprises in store - it seems to stir the pot on the rental market as well as you may have noticed.
It does put you a little more out front when you talk about the trials of island rentals but sometimes the personal revelations will help with the solutions. Many owners do choose to remain far removed from the public eye for good reason.

I can see you took someone's advice and shopped JCPenney. I just bought your master bedroom comforter for myself last week!!

Mary....you are very blessed indeed! Your villa looks beautiful & congrats on ownership. I also think its a very nice touch for a "Forum discount"...that's classy!
It's on our list now.

Congrats, it is a beautiful home. I know that my parents order off of Amazon.com and they deliver to the postal place Keep Me Posted in Coral Bay. Then their villa manager will put it in their owners closet until the come down. Enjoy your great home.

building on stj

Post by seagrape »

We shipped a full container down, but have since found you can definitely find things on STT that you wouldn't think you could. For example, we shipped down our porch furniture last year only to find that it is now 50% off at Home Depot! You just never know. As far as actual building materials go, it is DEFINITELY smart to ship those down as they are outrageous here. You can get tile, etc. in STT at Floor Factory. Best thing to do is get a STT phone book and go from there! Good luck. Keep the faith! It gets hard sometimes, but after sitting in my new pool, it's worth it! Just like having kids - you forget the pain after a while (until they turn into teenagers!)
