Fun topic: Ladies Who Pedicure... What Color.. Wild or Safe?
I LOVE purple toes. Any color will do - but I typically like plums. It's not the most festive color, but it does look nice. I also like orange or a bright coral. The turquoise looked good with Vicki's tan skin, but it's not for everyone (like my pale skin). I don't care for green or yellow (unless you have a darker complexion, like a Latina or African American). Different colors are fun, nail polish isn't a long term commitment. If you don't like it after one toe, ask them to change it!
Now THAT would be fantastic! Remind me to look at your toes!Gromit wrote:I wonder if they can do a little skull and crossbones on my big toe??
I always have to choose a dark color (chocolate brown, plum, dark blue). I'm a runner and after marathon training, the toes (muchless the toenails) are in no shape to have some light pink girly thing going on.

If you go to the right salon, they can paint anything you want .
My manicurist does Red Sox "B",s and NE Patriots logos.
I'm fairly conservative, but for the summer (or the islands) I go with bright blue or pink and if I feel like a splurge, I'll get a flower with a crystal center on the big toe; hands are usually french.

I love to put unusual colors on my toes. They don't see the light of day much, except at home, so it's my own little secret bit of fun. Red, bright orange, red-orange, metallic pink, sparkly purple, pale green, turquoise, deep ocean blue, cotton candy....
I always choose something fun for vacation and usually get positive comments from people who notice.
