After reading through all the post on this topic I have to say I am very touched. It is truly amazing how a group of people that share the same love for a place we know as St. John support one another in encouragement and the right attitude. Yet most of us are all strangers to one another but have a sense of knowing one another from participation on this forum.
There is one song that I can think of that best describes the rock and the people on this forum. That is “Magic” by Kenny Chesney. Every time I hear that song it just takes me to my happy place.
Thank you everyone!

MY BAD! To think I haven't even started hitting the rum yet. How I mixed you two up was just a DUH...apologies.Sun4MySoul wrote:Brenda- I thought perhaps you might have offered to take over for me in the Fin Race and I missed it. But now I have a better idea - A Fin Relay Race! Then you AND Boston Mike can participate...
Mike, if you tell your wife that you are in the race, I'm sure she will want to come to the Beach Day to watch the...um...event!![]()
Way to keep your chin up and plow forward. Its the only way to live!
If I can slam several painkillers down at Soggy's and swim back to the boat with two beers in one hand and a camera in the other without drowning, I am sure I can take yuuuuuuzz guyzzzz on. BUT, I will reserve beach day as a spectator to the classic race of the capt and sun. Hmmm, will this be an annual thing now and who will have to defend the crown next year.

Hey Mike
What a bummer. Eventually jobs will come back (fingers crossed). My husband took a huge pay reduction because his company keeps making stupid decisions. He is out there EVERY DAY trying to earn money. The more he makes the more his company makes. I don't understand the way some companies think
I lost a decent full-time job 2 years ago. Now all I can find is lesser paid part-time work. So that is what I do
We decided that this trip will not put us in financial bankruptcy, but if we don't go it will put us in "soulful" bankruptcy ( my new expression )
"F" the economy!!!
We are on our way to St John anyway!!
Put us down for 2 t's. How about can koozies?
Our best to you.

Mickyb- You may be my new hero! Can I have your autograph when I get to the Rock?mickyb wrote:I had a company of one person- me. In November the company (myself) ran low on work but wife and I already had a 2 week vacation scheduled and paid for in Jan. So we didn't return. Still here on STJ. I'll buy a t-shirt- 2 if the color is right.
