Beach day has been mentioned to the wifey. Maybe we can edge her on some more if ya'll just come up to her and start singing happy birthday to her out of nowhere. That will break the ice

Besides, I told her I had a race to watch between brenda and the capt.
Just tell her Joshie is going to be there on Beach Day  . Hey, I'm not so sure I'm in on the fin race :o . I think that was Cptn and Sun4mysoul.

I too am sorry to hear about your job. Hopefully something will come up soon. I too have taken a pay cut just from work reductions. Surgery has been slower than usual and when the numbers are down we get sent home. I can't use ALL of my time off for that. I have to go to STJ and will give up other things. We usually try to eat cheap (if that is possible) there anyway. More rum money  . Looking forward to meeting you guys!
Going "home" again October 26th!

You have the right attitude Mike.

We were saying the same thing when the pay cuts came and then the big income tax bill. STJ is a necessary for me, it makes everything feel OK.

Best of luck to you!

Brenda- I thought perhaps you might have offered to take over for me in the Fin Race and I missed it. But now I have a better idea - A Fin Relay Race! Then you AND Boston Mike can participate...

Mike, if you tell your wife that you are in the race, I'm sure she will want to come to the Beach Day to watch the...um...event!

Way to keep your chin up and plow forward. Its the only way to live!

Mike, I am so sorry. I am glad you are still going to STJ! Hope you have a great time! I got laid off on my first day back to work after STJ. All I could think of at the time was, SH&T, I could have stayed on island! Well, at least they waited until my return. All will be good soon!

Been there Mike. After 25 years with the same company they gave me the bad news the day before we left to go to Mexico back in January. We did of course go and it was problably the best thing, it took away the "what the h*ll am I going to do now" good thing the booze was free. Good luck and enjoy your trip and if you find any carpentry jobs down there tell them to give me a call
