my brother got into a bad accident.
Jimmy...you of all people are most upbeat and optimistic and find the best in just about everything. SO, you've hit a crappy patch and you have every right to be upset and feeling bad. Good things do happen in bad situations, but it takes time to navigate thru the crap to get there. We're pulling for you , your brother, and family. We're here for you all! More good energy comin your way.
I am so sorry to hear about this tragic event. Stay positive and don't get discouraged. These things can take a long time to recover. It is good news that he was responding off sedation. In light of his additional surgery and severity of injuries, they will most likely opt to keep him pretty chilled out again. Hang in there! Positive vibes coming your way. If you need to bend a nurse's ear, feel free to PM me.
Hugs to you, Amy, and family,
Brenda

Going "home" again October 26th!
Jim,
I just logged on and saw the news of your brother's accident. I'm so glad to hear the initial report from the doctor looks somewhat positive. I will be keeping your whole family in my prayers. I worked with the trauma team for 7 years and it is amazing the recoveries that happen every day! Hoping that happens quickly for Paul and that you are able to embrace whatever feelings you might be having during all of this and roll with them. Never beat yourself up for how you feel!! (I've been guilty of that a time or two myself)

Jim,
I'm so sorry about the accident. It's scary how things like that can happen in an instant. Prayers for your brother's full and speedy recovery. I'm glad he has a loving family to support him. It seems like a long road, but with luck and the power of prayer and the skill of his doctors, he will stand with you at Maho and celebrate your wedding!
Cheers & prayers,
Katie
