Jimmy...you of all people are most upbeat and optimistic and find the best in just about everything. SO, you've hit a crappy patch and you have every right to be upset and feeling bad. Good things do happen in bad situations, but it takes time to navigate thru the crap to get there. We're pulling for you , your brother, and family. We're here for you all! More good energy comin your way.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragic event. Stay positive and don't get discouraged. These things can take a long time to recover. It is good news that he was responding off sedation. In light of his additional surgery and severity of injuries, they will most likely opt to keep him pretty chilled out again. Hang in there! Positive vibes coming your way. If you need to bend a nurse's ear, feel free to PM me.

Hugs to you, Amy, and family,

Brenda

Jim,

I just logged on and saw the news of your brother's accident. I'm so glad to hear the initial report from the doctor looks somewhat positive. I will be keeping your whole family in my prayers. I worked with the trauma team for 7 years and it is amazing the recoveries that happen every day! Hoping that happens quickly for Paul and that you are able to embrace whatever feelings you might be having during all of this and roll with them. Never beat yourself up for how you feel!! (I've been guilty of that a time or two myself)

Heading to St. Luke's Hospital to see my big bro.
Thanks again, everyone, and Happy Easter. You folks have no idea what your good wishes mean to me. They have given me an outlet for my emotions regarding this whole crappy situation, and I can't say "Thank You" enough.

Jim,

I'm so sorry about the accident. It's scary how things like that can happen in an instant. Prayers for your brother's full and speedy recovery. I'm glad he has a loving family to support him. It seems like a long road, but with luck and the power of prayer and the skill of his doctors, he will stand with you at Maho and celebrate your wedding!

Cheers & prayers,

Katie

Jimmy, just seeing this for the first time this a.m. - I wasn't online this weekend.

How is your brother doing? My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stay strong.

You are the best (even though Amy is cooler)!

Take care,
Nancy

My thoughts are with you all. Come here often, draw on the strength of friends and impart that strength to your brother through your positive outlook. Not the easiest thing to do, but probably the best thing you can give him right now.

Stop by with an update when you can.
