You should be fine :) - just try to book your seats at the front of the plane (back of the plane if you are on an AA flight from San Juan) as waiting for everyone to stand up, get their luggage from the overheads etc can add 10 to 15 mins to your exiting of the plane if you are at the back:)

Honestly you should be totally fine unless your plane is delayed. You should be able to get there in good time.

One more question, please. Since there isn't a 12:15 from CB to CA and our flight back is at 3 p.m. it looks like we need to take the 11:15 am from CB to CA, yes? Thanks so much.

P.S. This forum (bedsides the snorkeling and beaches ha! ha!) is one of the main reasons we're going to STJ so you guys gotta answer my questions! :D

Absolutely. The 11:15 is your best bet. Depending on what day of the week you depart, lines at customs and security can be very long.

Always best to leave more time than not enough IMHO!

It looks like you'll have no trouble making the ferries. You might even be able to get a drink or two while you wait downtown. That's what we did a couple of weeks ago.

That taxi driver knew we were together, because you paid the whole bill, Rosi. And you said "How much is it for two of us?" and she said it was ten each. Remember, you got the taxi and I got the drinks at the bar? You gave her a $20 for both of us, and it should've only been $8 per person. And she said it was $10 each.

I would've given her $10. I'm not cheap, and that's how much I'd expected to pay. My problem is that the cab rates in the VIs are regulated and she told us a price that was more than what she was legally entitled too. She'd have gotten my ten bucks regardless, but she ripped me off, and that bothers me.

Seriously, people like that ruin it for everyone, because I'm way over tipping anyone at this point. And I know she charged the other two guys who got off at the ferry with us the same price. I really hate people who rip off tourists. It's not cool.

Maybe it's my fault for not calling her out on it, but I didn't want to make a scene.

We looked like tourists I guess........lol
Oh well, live and learn.......
I did not realize she charged those guys that went to the same bar as us the same price......I do not know why but that makes me feel better.

Hello Turtlegirl, when are you arriving on St Thomas? We're flying in from Boston on Jan. 3 and will share a ride with you if you would like. We're planning to get a private taxi.
