Tom, May that special love that you shared be your strength in the future. She sounds like a very courageous woman. I'm sure she will be by your side in spirit every step of the way. I believe STJ attracts magical people and you two are a testament to that. Cherish all your beautiful memories. My sympathies to you, your family and friends. Ali~

Waterguy - - I think it's completely obvious what your wife saw in you! So many women can only dream of a husband who is so incredibly in love and take such care with their needs, in life and the next. How wonderful that you were able to go to so many places in the world (and STJ the BEST place in the world) with her. The memories you shared will always be there to comfort you. Take care my friend.

Thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful day with us. It seems such a perfect tribute to your wife and I'm sure the memories you made on all those trips are held dear. The wedding on the beach was so fitting.

Tom thank you for touching us all by sharing the beautiful tribute to your wife. It is obvious that you were lucky to have each other, and I can sure see what she saw in you! And what a wonderful group of friends and family you had with you, you honored her well.

My heart goes out to you and your sons, I hope this journey has brought, or will bring, some peace for all of you.

Tom, Thank you for sharing. My husband is my best friend and I know that I would have a really tough time having to talk about him but, as you did, I would definitly want to respect his last wishes. I am crying as I write this because I can feel the love the two of you had for each other just reading your posts. You are both in our prayers and I will think of you when we are there this summer. It will make one of my favorite beaches that much more special.

Tom, thank you for bringing back your original trip report in memory of your wife....she was truly a beautiful lady. I knew that you lost your wife because of previous posts but had never seen your trip report. I am a one year BC survivor and I told S/O the other day that somewhere down the road when it's my time I want my ashes on STJ - haven't decided on the location yet....need to go back many more times before I decide!

More importantly, thank you for thinking of Carolyn, knowing what she is dealing with right now. What better way to honor your love than to post a photo of the "good times!"
