Re: L&L's New Location?
Sounds like it is the old spot that Courtesy Car Rental had. If so, that is a very convenient location. Short walk to ferry and just about all Cruz Bay.

Re: Vie's Snack Shack
Best to call her directly @ 340 693-5033 since her hours (and days) vary. Also, when Vie's is open her Garlic Chicken (which is fabulous!) goes fast so if you are going out ask her to save you some! Enjoy.

Re: My daughter is joining us in July!
Wonderful! Don't be surprised if she does not 'get it' (the magic of St John) the evening she arrives (after a long, long day of travel); however, trust me, with the light of day the next morning when she sees the magnificent views and the turquoise waters it will be impossible for her not to fall i...

Re: Considering travel insurance for Aug trip -- advice?
We always get travel insurance no matter what time of year. It helps me sleep at night even when we fly with frequent flyer points ('free' airfare). There are lots of other costs (e.g. car, villa, caterer - if we were using one) that would be covered if we have to cancel our trip at the last minute....

Re: Mailing to St John- Some facts...some guesses
We were shocked when our Priority Mail package actually arrived on island this past Friday - on schedule. We mailed it from New England on Tuesday. Record time! Express mail would have arrived on Thursday (for $95) and Priority Mail only took one more day and saved us $65. Maybe this was an aberrati...
