UPDATE!

That phone number (in the first post) does work.

For some reason I was getting a fast-busy signal for a half hour. Now it works and they answer.

So that's the direct line: 340-693-9030

That phone number is not the direct line to Noah's little ark. Its just one of a million folks trying to make a buck by booking tours on their behalf. Goes to a company called "Sail Safari" or something. They said they book tours for Noah's Little Ark. All they do is get on the phone and c...

Noahs Little Ark - Contact Info?

Does anyone have the direct line to Noah's Little Ark for dinghy bookings? I was given 340-693-9030 but that number does not work.

Full Day Dinghy Experience

Couple questions on this: 1) What time does the "Full Day" dinghy thing start at Noah's Little Ark? What is their actual address? 3) Do we have to be there a specific time or can we stroll in a little later? 4) Can we swing back to the town area, pull up somewhere, and walk into a lunch pl...

The killer frogs and the leaping pirhanna's were a figment of my imagination, don't worry about them LOL ... However I did just read an article that you'd be wacky to be at the beach at sundown because the "sand fleas" come out from their hiding and will sting the crap out of you all over ...

Thanks everyone - such a helpful forum :) We will use my friends AT&T iphone while we're there. I went to Brazil last year and ended up with a $3,000 data bill too. And that was with careful monitoring. Don't put it past certain countries to just send your phone company whatever they feel like s...

I found this on: http://www.stjohntraveler.com/activities-attractions/horseback-riding.php "Here on St. John you can hire ... a horse ... and then go alone or with your friends ... into the scenic trails on the eastern end of the island. In addition to this, you are also given the opportunity t...

I read that some of the local resorts have night life and live music and whatnot. Are you allowed to attend such events if you're not staying at the resort itself?

Also is there a calendar of island events anywhere?

Thanks :)

Are bugs a real issue in St John? Here in Miami I haven't seen a bug in months, aside from a stray fly. Am I going to need bug spray?

Most secluded beach?

Purpose of the trip is partially to get away from everything, think, and stare up at the stars. I'll be arriving next Monday, and was curious what beaches qualify as the most empty? If any ... Are there any issues with safety at night? If not from humans, what about deadly spiders, monster venemous ...

Thanks everyone - and I hope this thread helps people in the future who can't do 5 days minimum. We got lucky and found a 5 day minimum condo who was willing to let us stay for two nights. So we're set!

Yeah its astounding what kind of bad information you can get from one phone rep that ends up being completely different than what another phone rep says. If you ever get the vibe that you're not getting accurate info, just do what I do. Hang up and hit redial. You'd be surprised how often that works...

Verizon Service on St John

I have a CDMA (iPhone 4) with Verizon service. Live and breathe by it. Will it work without roaming on St John?

Thanks.
