Re: Wagapoozla

Thanks Eagleraylover for the update. Unfortunately, don't think we'll be able to make it for that weekend, but please add me to the list if you'd be willing to take raffle ticket orders grandpainin - Wagapalooza is fun dog show that is a fund raiser for the Animal Care Center. Date for Wagapalooza 2014?

Anyone know the date for this years Wagapalooza? We stumbled across this on one of our first trips to St John and like to try schedule our trips around this event but can't find the date on the ACC website yet. We're not even dog people (we're cat parents) but love the community feel and the hard wo...

Re: Oasis restaurant in Coral Bay?

On our last trip, this was one of our favorite places. In 2 weeks, one of the very few we went back to twice. The main menu changes everyday - usually a fish, a veggie, and 2 meat dishes. The meatloaf rocked! I think the sides stay the same, but make sure you get there before the mac & cheese ru...

Re: QUICK! Options for dinner tonight

Won't help you today as they're closed Monday, but try Oasis later in your stay. Really good comfort food, large portions and excellent prices. Wife loves the mac & cheese. Located between Aqua Bistro and Cases By The Sea. Ate there twice last week.

Re: Top 3 Snorkel Spots

Saw my first octopus yesterday at Gibney - right side out past small sandy beach. Instantly moves to the top of my snorkel list!

Re: Overnight flights?

We tried this on our last trip in May and loved it. When booking flights, the non-red eye ones we looked at arrived in STT around 5-6pm. We didn't like the idea of getting there that late, so we took Jet Blue from BWI to Boston to San Juan. Got to San Juan around 2:30am and stayed in the airport unt...

Exit&Pia - Thanks! PA Girl - we're flying from BWI on a combination of JetBlue and American Airlines. You can also book using just AA, but their flight left BWI at 5:00pm. The JetBlue leaves around 8:00pm. Means I don't have to take an extra vaction day, plus I'd rather sleep on the plane. We're...

Early flight into St. Thomas - taxi availability?

Just booked airfare for our 6th trip back to the rock! Woo hoo! We're doing things a little different this year - we usually arrive at St. Thomas mid to late afternoon and grab the first available taxi to the ferry. There's usually many waiting and ready to go. This year though, we're taking an over...

Thanks to all! You sure know how to make a new guy feel welcome! Loria - sorry, not a player, just a diehard Flyers fan. One of my favorite memories from our trip last May was on our last night, sitting in the hot tub looking out over Klein Bay watching the Flyers beat the Bruins after being down 3-...

Long time lurker finally breaks out

Just wanted to make my first post and thank everyone on this board for all the great help they've unknowingly given my wife and I (those at Mad Fox Saturday night might know me as Dan the Lurker?) with our St John trips! A little background - My lovely wife Phoebe and I were married on Hawksnest 5 y...
