Villas with Wireless Internet?

When then is stated does this mean they have a router in their place linked to their cable system? That's the setup I have and as long as the cable is working my internet is also. Is the reliability pretty much the same everywhere? I'm renting on the east side of Fish Bay.

Reserving vehicle

I reserve my vehicle right after the villa is reserved. It costs you nothing up front. Better safe than sorry. I can't imagine waiting a month prior, then having to scramble & possibly settling for something other than what I wanted.

Dependable

Thanks. I have reservations with both. Did you rent with Discount? Dependable gave me a better rate but I'll go with Discount now. So, did you send in your deposit? Don't worry about your choice. I've been renting houses all over for the past 25 years & stopped worrying 20 years ago. Some dissap...

Dependable Auto Rental

I thought I read in a prior post that they provide assistance, albiet limited, if you have mechanical problems on STJ. Is this true? If so, do they have a preferred mechanic and/or towing service lined up on island? Do they pick up the tab for issues such as transmission failure, ruptured brake line...

Ebags.com

I had no idea that they were a link. I posted their site because I have purchased there as was quite satisfied with the selection and price. Should I not post specific business sites in the future, instead just posting something vague like, "check out websites that sell luggage"? I don't w...

Jeep specs

I entered a search for "jeep liberty specs" Auto Media gave specifics on headroom, legroom, etc. Also look at Edmunds which came up. Don't go direct. The links via the search are more direct. You might want to search specific years & models.

I'll call the management for Sea Spirit prior to arrival & ask about the brush conditions. Now I hope my rental is already scratched up. Not going until 12/03. Hopefully I won't be a slug after our trip & I'll file a detailed report.

Jury Duty

Don't ever wish for it. Unless it some super-high profile case & you can sell your story. I was on a personal injury jury for 2 days. Missed work without pay and was paid a whopping $25.00 per day! Sucked. I don't like the sound of liquids pouring into a glass on commercials, yeah just commercia...

Kiddle to Grootpan snorkel

Has anyone done this? If so,how was it? I olooked at it with Google Earth and it looks pretty promising and easy, with a road for access. Would I be with the current?

Blue Cobblestone to Salt Pond

I plan on snorkeling from Blue Cobblestone around the point, down the shoreline then exit & walk back to Blue Cobblestone. Zoomed in on Google Earth & it looks great. Thought we'd leave our sandals at an exit point then drive back to Blue & do it. Is this a good idea? Will the current be...

To: Island Transplants

How about a brief story on how you came to live on the island. Years of planning?, on a whim?, etc. I'm sure myself and hundreds of other members are dreaming the dream. As jealous as I am I'd love to hear your story.

Okay here's my plan. Drop off someone at Candi's while the others go to Starfish for some basics/staples. Or are there other, cheaper options East on S. Shore road? Also need to pick up a pr. of float tubes. Where could we donate them after our trip? I figure if cut in half they would be perfect for...
