Re. ferries selling out... A few weeks ago when we were on the (10:45?) Cruz Bay>CA ferry, it was a much smaller boat than they used to use. It wasn't sold out, but there couldn't have been many seats left to sell..

Hey, thanks @AikoJim and @JT for those links. Very good reading on someone I wish I had been able to meet on STJ.

Access to "Pelican Rock beach" - East End

Does anyone know where the best access is to the beach way out the East End, so you can snorkel around Pelican Rock? Seems to me that the last few times we were out there, the house right there has a very prominent "No Trespassing" sign... and we don't want to annoy the folks who live ther...

Wow, what great choices! For some reason, I'm leaning toward Banana Deck or Rhumblines, though High Tide must be great too, with all the "thumbs up" reviews. We've never eaten at any of these places. For some reason, even though everything on STJ is lovely and low-key, we usually don't spe...

First Night Restaurant Recommendations in Cruz Bay?

Hello Again, Fellow STJ addicts - (You can tell we're getting close to our visit. I can't think about anything else, and here I am posting a second item in as many days. I'm sure I'll be back to lurking soon though!) For our trip in a few weeks, we'll probably get in late afternoon, and to be courte...

@inuny, That's what I recall from last year, too. The sign said open for dinner a few nights a week.

Well, if we do eat there I'll report back... it can be a nice spot for lunch too. But everyone already knew that!

BTW, 3 weeks from tomorrow!! So excited :D

Anyone Been to Chateau Bordeaux recenlty?

Hi Everyone, I guess my subject line says it all; since for the past few years Chateau Bordeaux has been opened, closed, open part time, etc., I was just wondering if they are open and how the food & overall dining experience is now? We'll be on STJ in just over 3 weeks (YES!!!). It's been a few...

Neither did we eat at CB a few weeks ago when we were on island, but what we did notice was weird: they had a sign saying (IIRC) dinner served something like Tuesday thru Thursday... Like I say, it seemed odd and maybe we just mis-read the sign. I do hope somebody makes that a good restaurant again;...

Hey, I just wanted to thank everyone for the suggestions on this thread. I've been really enjoying "Lucky Old Sun" for the past week; it's getting me right in the mood to get on our planeride south over the warming blue-ing water! Which will be THURSDAY!! Can't wait :-) Now I gotta keep my...

Other Kenny Chesney songs

Hi Folks, This post kind of follows up the thread from a few weeks ago on everyone's favorite STJ soundtrack. (BTW, that was a great thread that I gotta get back to and create a new STJ mix using some of those good suggestions.) My wife and I have been big fans of the the "one" KC album fo...
