Sounds like a very long trip, but in the end you'll love St. John, especially coming from where you are. Warm weather, sandy beaches, etc., etc. Enjoy!

Yes, you do have to check the Rum, but AA doesn't charge. I don't know about baggage, we do carry on only. Last I heard it was $25 for the first bag, but don't know if that's changed.

I'd love to book another trip, but I'm out of work & hubby was just put on a four day work week. I think our travels will be put on hold for a bit!

Hmmmm, could only be a coincidence, but Steve snorkeled to Waterlemon Cay (he was in the water for about 2 1/2 hrs.) the day before we came home, and when he came back to the beach he was covered in a strange rash that covered his chest & arms. He had gotten a bit sunburned, but not bad. We attr...

Does anyone know if Maho Bay yields any kind of net profit annually? Perhaps this could be used to help offset acquisition cost. If, given the current RE market which will likely stay depressed for the foreseeable future, the price is more in the $15M range, perhaps a benefactor could be found. This ...

After leaving the house @ 3:45 a.m. tomorrow for a 7:15 a.m. flight out of Boston, I'm sure we'll get to our condo, shower, eat light (or not at that point, we may be starved) and crash!! Will stop @ Starfish for a couple of day's worth of groceries on the way. Yikes, we need to get to bed NOW!! Sun...

We're staying @ Serendip Condos. We don't need anything fancy as we're at the beach most of the time. We have always stayed @ Estate Concordia, so this looks like it might be a step or two up. From what I've read & pics I've seen it looks very nice & has everything we need. As I became a vic...

We have been lurking for a couple of years now & decided it was about time we "signed on". We leave in 6 days for our fifth stay on St. John, only this time it will be a little more special; it will be our honeymoon! We're a couple of middle aged juveniles, who after being together for...

Most Overrated / Most Underrated

Peachie's been lurking for a couple of years and we decided to get our feet wet :) We'll be back "home" on St. John in 10 days 18 hours and...well, you get the idea. We simply love the place and this is our fifth return. We're generally a pair of beach bums, snorkeling and sunning through ...
