More rain!

We're sitting here in our room at Caneel Bay Wednesday morning and it's been raining hard for 2 hours now. Another flash flood warning until 11:45 a.m. and we take that seriously. Sunday mornig I awoke at 2:30 a.m. to discover 3 inches of rain in our room, quickly rising. We had to pack up QUICKLY a...

Looking for villa input for baby Jonathan Thomas

Hi all. We've stayed at Gallows for the last 8+ years, but they don't allow young children so we're getting the boot. We have a little boy, who will be about 18 months in November when we bring him for his introductory trip to STJ ( his name is Jonathan Thomas...see any resemblance in the name to ou...

Wednesday's Accident

We were leaving on Wednesday and there was an emergency...life saving boat and ambulance in Cruz Bay. Apparently a drowning, but didn't get any details. Anyone know what happened?

August 13-17 Anyone?

So I had my first baby (a son)in January this year, and my husband suggested that I deserved a break. My best friend turned 40 this week so the two of us are taking a long weekend to STJ (she's never been to the Caribbean). Last year was the first year I missed my 2x a year trip, so I'm so excited. ...

August Ferry Schedule - Charlotte Amalia to Cruz Bay times?

I know during low season they scale back the ferry schedule from downtown CA to Cruz Bay. Anyone know what times they're running in the late afternoon (my flight gets in at 3:25 p.m.)

We leave in 10 days for Virgin Gorda...yeah! We'll be there for four days and then on to STJ for a full week. Can't wait to "return" home for a bit.

In the boat from Calyspo, we fit two of us, a cooler and a bag. Plenty of room. They don't want you beaching it per say, but you can jump out and pull it up on shore at the calmer beaches. A few of the beaches have moorings too.

We rented from Noah's and the boat was a little small for going around to Waterlemon on a rougher day. Calypso's boat was the perfect size and gave us a little more room for the cooler and bags.

We were driving down the PA Turnpike the other week behind a STJ license plate bracket and vanity plate. Turns out it was Bug and we had her cell #. So we called her! Too funny because we live 90+ miles away from each other!

Thanks! I actually was unknowingly 3 weeks pregnant or so when we met up last time for drinks! Think the little one is going to come out liking key lime martinis. For now, its virgin lime & cocounts and painkillers! Hope you're doing well, and sounds like a plan to catch up for dinner soon!

Baby-moon!

Well, I wasn't banking on my next STJ fix until November (we skipped our April trip to go skiing and dog sledding in British Columia in February). But my hubby and I have had a deal that when I got pregnant, at 4-5 months he'd treat me to a 2-week STJ and BVI vacation. I'm 10 weeks already so it loo...
